Summer Seventeen Favourites!

Summer 2017 was a busy one, I didn’t do much else other than work or sleep! All my favourite things in beauty and fashion were about making my life easier. My makeup routine was super simple and easy for the hot weather. And whenever I was out of my work uniform, it was comfy t shirts and jeans.

Here are my favourites from the past summer!

A BB cream is a great base for light makeup, Garnier’s option is a light coverage but still does well at hiding imperfections and redness. The palette from Too Faced was perfect for creating a bronzy glow, along with Glossier’s subtle but radiant highlight. Essence’s brow gel is my new dupe for Benefit’s Gimme Brow. It’s only $3 and does a great job at keeping brows in place. Finally, although pricey for a lip balm, Tarte’s lip quench was my saviour this summer. It adds a hint of colour and has a high shine finish without the stickiness. Out of all these products, I’d have to say this is the ultimate favourite!

As fall approaches, I’m hoping to keep the minimal makeup look going with the addition of darker lips and probably more concealer as the semester goes on!

“I like my money right where I can see it: hanging in my closet.” — Carrie Bradshaw

I’d have to agree with Carrie here, and so would my closet! I definitely have way too many clothes to handle, so this summer I attempted to simplify my wardrobe and get back to the basics. Due to work, I was stuck in my uniform 5/7 days of the week, and trying to be comfy the other 2!! These three items were my go to’s whenever I had a dinner date, hang out with friends, or trip to mall. A t shirt and jeans will never fail you!!
